coven is a new work by natali abrahamsen garner for trondheim voices. the work explores the potential of music as a space for grief, solidarity and the processing of trauma. through voice, breath and drones, trondheim voices explores how voice and music can become a source of community and a place of encounter, in an attempt to breathe out grief and find strength in togetherness.
the work revolves around the breath and its steady and irregular pulse, lingering on the weight and strength of the fact that we cannot separate ourselves from our own bodies, our nature or our community. within an open and meditative space, the voices create a sense of togetherness in which we can rest.
