fifteen years is both a short and a long time. for today’s 15-year-olds, the terrorist attacks on the government quarter and auf’s summer camp in 2011 are something that happened “long ago,” almost like the second world war. but for those of us who remember that day, it feels like it happened yesterday. nedrejord has spoken with experts working in democracy research and in communicating knowledge about the attack. she has spoken with pst about radicalization. and not least, she has spoken with many people who are around 15 years old today, asking many of the same questions: what matters to you? what engages you? which issues are most important to you? together, all these voices have become a diverse and multifaceted portrayal of an intense period in recent norwegian history.

one of norway’s most distinctive voices – and a performing artist who always surprises.
tungtvann have for years been a symbol of northern norwegian identity, language, and culture — making them a perfect match for helgeland’s biggest summer festival.
the veterans are finally returning to bakgården.
they opened. they closed. they rose again. and now they’re back as parken brings its story to an end. the circle is complete. it’s going to be powerful, nostalgic, and northern norwegian rap at its very best.
who was he, the man convicted of treason who never stopped claiming his innocence? was he a master spy or a misunderstood idealist? a traitor to his country or an unorthodox peace mediator? a man with a grandiose belief in his own importance, or simply a diplomat caught in the storm between east and west?
in a world where facts drift and reality is manipulated, the ensemble tries to understand both him and themselves, in an explosion of satire, politics, and emotion.

the year is 1859. brita caisa is alone with two children. to give them the security they deserve, she straps on her skis and travels the long road from finland to norway in search of a man with whom she can build a safe life. along the way, the unthinkable happens.
brita caisa is a woman who leaves, a woman who dares to stand up to the judgment of others. the knife in the fire is a compelling story of labor and love, deep solidarity and free eroticism, the individual and the authorities.

in whiteout you are taken into darkness and into an encounter with gnawing feelings – a sense of unease. eventually, you are exposed to a strange white light and a state known as “whiteout.” this state describes a severely reduced visibility: when the view is filled with snow that erases all usual points of reference.

the exhibition haunted house by artists and choreographers helle siljeholm and ingri fiksdal explores the idea of home in light of kunstnernes hus' nearly 100-year history. the exhibition reflects on the significance of home for society and for artists, and how roles such as mother, wife, and woman have often been limiting for female artists, especially during their own lifetimes. focusing on deceased female artists and selected group exhibitions from the history of kunstnernes hus, the exhibition highlights how the home — as safety, loss, threat, or limitation — has shaped both artistic practices and the institution itself. the work is an immersive choreographic universe of light, sound, sculpture, and movement.

rose water is a dance performance that explores how memory, heritage, and identity live on in the body. through movement, vibration, and visual landscapes, ida haugen seeks a connection with the unconscious, the invisible, and the spiritual – a bodily opening toward that which otherwise remains without language.
it seems we are more easily distracted these days, like children overflowing with restless, untamed energy. at the same time, we are expected to exercise self-control over this “natural” behavior, which makes some of us feel like “animals in cages.”

after packing both the opera and the edge last fall, and wrapping up the ultimate northern norwegian hip-hop festival with reinspikka iparken (featuring rsp & thomax, petter, and lars vaular) in june, tungtvann is getting ready to create magic at rakettnatt’s afterparty. when the northern norwegian rap legends take the stage at bryggeriet, it will be their first time performing in the legendary venue that once housed studenthuset driv.
it's a given that tungtvann will be part of energilekene! the band from bodø has delivered authentic northern norwegian rap for decades, with sharp lyrics and energetic beats that give them a distinct sound. their powerful music reflects the same energy that helgeland kraft represents – real, raw, and renewable.
join us for an evening filled with intense energy, unforgettable verses, and the unique atmosphere that only tungtvann can create. this is a concert you won't want to miss!
nils bech is one of norway’s leading vocalists and performance artists, especially known for his conceptual and unique live shows. at nidaros cathedral, he will be joined by musicians and ballet dancer silas henriksen – and although the concept is still in development, bech promises to make full use of the entire church space during the concert.
tungtvann's music manages to combine social engagement, political thought, and party culture with a raw style and catchy beats from the architect poppa lars. pøbla, ubudne gjesta, bransjehora, and sinnsyk have become anthems for generations of hip-hop heads, and we can't wait for the powerhouse to roll into rensåsparken and close out the hip-hop festival!
“vårofferet” (rite of spring) has become one of the most famous ballets of all time – a modern classic that is performed both as a pure concert piece and with choreography. for this performance, the bodø-based choreographer stian danielsen creates his very own version with arktisk filharmoniske.
in arne lygre's latest play ikkje ein lyd, we meet seven different people who live on the same island. four have returned to their hometown after leaving and spending part of their adult lives elsewhere. two are new to the small community, while one of them never left. some have come to the island to escape the life they had, others to rediscover what once was, what they perhaps have lost.

- in the machinery of my body, skin stretches, bones support, muscles contract and sweat pours down. i move my body, and joints pivot, limbs extend, tendons flex. breath quickens, pulse races in a synchronized dance of effort. my senses sense the journey of exertion. sometimes I find peace.
yaniv cohen.
