a new piece from arne lygre with premiere at the national theatre in norway.
an aging father calls his family home to tell them something. it becomes a hesitant and emotional encounter between him, his three daughters, two grandchildren, and a son-in-law.
one of the daughters has a fragile relationship with her father. not only did he have an affair and a secret child while his wife was dying at home; a few years after the daughter became a mother herself, he threw her and her son out, and they haven’t spoken in years. the news the father now shares stirs up old and new conflicts. the family is forced into a reckoning with fate and must confront one another and what truly matters.
